Truck fire closes section of highway 275

STANTON, Nebraska (KTIV) – A Semi-tractor trailer catches fire on Highway 275, just east of the Highway 57 junction in Stanton County, Nebraska.

When authorities were called the scene, they found the semi fully engulfed in flames, and the driver, 49-year-old Leonard Roberts of Jackson, Kentucky, in a ditch with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident completely blocked the highway for about 45 minutes.

Stanton Fire, along with Stanton County Emergency Management and Nebraska DOT responded to the scene.

The semi and trailer hauling steel coils were a total loss.
