Actress Margot Kidder has died. She was 69-years old.
Kidder, best known for her role as Lois Lane in the Superman films from the 1970’s and 80’s died Sunday at her home in Livingston, Montana.
According to her manager, Kidder passed away in her sleep. No additional details were given.
Kidder began her acting career in her 20s and shot to international fame playing the reporter Lois Lane, opposite Christopher Reeve in Superman.
The Canadian-born Kidder also appeared in 1975’s "The Great Waldo Pepper" with Robert Redford and 1979’s "The Amityville Horror."
Kidder battled bipolar disorder for years and was an outspoken proponent of mental health reform and other political causes.
