Police rescue 14 baby ducklings

To protect and serve and rescue ducklings, that seems to be the motto nowadays for the police department.

Officers with the Suffolk Police Department in New York rescued 14 ducklings from a storm drain Sunday morning.

Someone called 9-1-1 on behalf of mother duck who stood by, no doubt making sure her young ones remained calm as Officers Jack Ward, Joseph Bianco and Steven Damico worked to free the furry friends.

With the help of a duck call phone app and a net, all of the siblings were rescued, just in time to enjoy Mother’s Day.
