The Sioux City Symphony Orchestra and Maestro Ryan Haskins agree on seven-year contract

The Music Director for the Sioux City Symphony Orchestra will be here for another seven years.

Maestro Ryan Haskins and the symphony have agreed to terms on a new multi-year contract. The deal means Haskins will stay in Sioux City through the 2024-2025 season.

The Cleveland, Ohio native just wrapped up his ninth year as Music Director for the SCSO.

This past season, Haskins was the driving force behind a version of West Side Story entirely created and produced by the symphony orchestra and never seen before.

Haskins has also implemented a music education program that reaches more than 40 schools throughout Siouxland.

Haskins said the contract extension feels natural as the symphony orchestra soars to new and exciting heights.
