Training sessions for Iowa growers on FDA’s safety rules set for this Fall

Efforts are underway to educate Iowa’s produce growers on the F-D-A’s produce safety rules.

This Fall, members of the state’s produce safety partnership will provide 10 training sessions for Iowa growers.

The day-long events provided growers with the necessary information to be in full compliance with the law, learn about exemptions, and develop safe farm plans.

Free voluntary "On Farm Readiness Reviews" also are available and take less then two hours to complete.

Information about upcoming classroom training and how to register for an on-farm review, as well as other pertinent information, can be found on the website
