Okoboji city council grants approval for re-development of former Inn site

Officials in Okoboji, Iowa, have given the green light allowing the re-development of the former Inn property.

The city council unanimously approved a recommendation from the city’s Planning and Zoning Commission to vacate and convey some right-of-way at the southerly projection of Eden Street and the westerly projection of the former Lakeshore Road.

The council also approved a recommendation from the Planning and Zoning Commission to approve preliminary and final plats for the development by Whitecap, LLC.

The council took the action saying the new proposal presented by Whitecap addressed concerns the city had previously with the proposed development.
