A few isolated thunderstorms have moved through Siouxland Friday especially in our southern counties.
This is only the beginning as the upcoming week will see many chances for thunderstorms.
More scattered thunderstorms will be possible to the east of Sioux City into the overnight hours with some of these capable of strong winds and large hail.
A few storms look to linger into Saturday morning before skies gradually clear through the rest of the day.
Saturday will be the day with the best chance to get outdoor activities in before a front stalls over the area.
That will bring more scattered thunderstorms Saturday night especially east of Sioux City with damaging winds and some hail again possible.
The rest of the holiday weekend will see several rounds of thunderstorms developing with the possibility of heavy rainfall in any of those storms.
With more scattered thunderstorms in the forecast through most of the work week as well we will be closely watching for the chance of flooding especially in eastern Siouxland.
Overall temperatures will be fairly consistent with lows in the mid to upper 60s and highs near 80 through the next seven days.
