Harvesting of soybeans is underway in South Dakota

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Harvesting of soybeans is underway in South Dakota.

The federal Agriculture Department in its weekly crop report says 1 percent of the soybean crop is in the bin.

The report also says slightly more than one-fourth of the corn crop is now mature.

Seven percent of the winter wheat crop has been seeded.

Slightly more than half of the state’s topsoil and subsoil moisture supplies are rated adequate.

Pasture and range conditions are rated 45 percent in good to excellent condition.
