The Plymouth County GOP hosts tailgate party

SIOUX CITY (KTIV)-It’s football and campaign season so why not celebrate both.

The Plymouth County G-O-P put together a tailgate party to bring the two crowds together.

The event was held in LeMars, Iowa to kick off the race to the November election.

Speakers included Senator Jim Carlin from Sioux City.

“We want to raise some money for what we do. But when you put together an event like this it builds a sense of community, it strengthens the culture of what we’re trying to do in the Republican party. And that has a lot of upside on every aspect of running campaigns.” said Senator Jim Carlin.

An auction followed the speeches, along with musical guest Jill Miller of Sioux City.
