Moscow ballerina teaches Siouxland children about Russian culture

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Children at the Sioux City Public Museum got a first-hand lesson in a whole new cultural experience on Thursday.

The Moscow Ballet is in town teaching local children about Russian culture.

One ballerina from the ballet taught the kids a Russian folk dance and shared stories on Russian culture.

Children and their families were able to take part in the event and lessons for free.

Meanwhile, this December the Great Russian Nutcracker will be performing at the Sioux City Orpheum.

Tickets for the show are now on sale at the  Orpheum’s website.
