SIOUX CITY (KTIV)-It was music to the ears of many siouxlanders on Elwood Olsen Field.
On Saturday Afternoon, high school marching bands from all over the state traveled to Morningside College for a battle of the bands
Starfest hosted about fifteen local and traveling groups from the tri-state area to compete in an all-day competition.
For over 20 years, young musicians have been welcomed by the North High Marching Stars to bring music to Sioux City.
Throughout the day, each Marching Band took to Elwood Olsen Stadium, with a unique routine and fifteen minutes to impress both the audience and judges.
Money raised from admission and concessions goes toward the North High Marching Stars.
The all-day competition will officially conclude tonight at around 10 o’clock.
