Victim identified in fatal Canton, SD crash

CANTON, South Dakota (KTIV)  – The victim of a fatal crash in Canton, South Dakota, on Saturday has been identified.

Seventy-three-year-old Larry Pigors, of Aberdeen, South Dakota,  was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on Highway 18 in Canton.

Officials say a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by 25-year-old Austin Knutson of Canton was traveling westbound on Highway 18 when it collided with Pigors who was standing in the middle of the road.

Knutson was not injured.

South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
