MADISON COUNTY, Nebraska (KTIV) – One person has died after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night on Highway 275.
Sixty-eight-year-old Douglas Rakowsky, of Battle Creek, Nebraska, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Department was called to the accident at 54900 Highway 275, shortly after 8 p.m. Tuesday night.
When authorities arrived they found a 2001 Dodge Durango driven by Rakowsky had collided with the rear of a combine driven by Mark Freudenburg, of rural Madison.
The highway was shut down for three hours following the accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
