Sioux Cityan inducted into Special Olympics Iowa Hall of Fame

SIOUX CITY (SUBMITTED) —¬†Jesse Pease from the Sioux City Knights Special Olympics Iowa delegation was inducted into the Special Olympics Iowa Hall of Fame on Monday, December 3. Jesse is one of three athletes inducted into the state’s inaugural Hall Class. Special Olympics Iowa has over 14,000 athletes who compete in 14 year round sports.

Jesse received his first gold medal at the tender age of 8 in 1990. Since then, Jesse has competed in 2003 World Games, 2006 USA games along with numerous individual state track and field championships. Jesse has also been a key member of state championship softball and soccer teams.

Jesse continues to participate and excel in Track, Basketball, Soccer, Bowling, Softball, and Golf.
