New walls were raised Thursday for the new Heelan High School gym- in an innovative way.

Tilt-up walls went up today to create the framework of the new Heelan High School gym at 12th and Grandview.

The local company that has engineered the walls has cranes moving the walls into place.

It is a fairly quick process.

“It’s done pretty quickly,” said Ryan Bolinger, Project Manager, WA Klinger. “On this project, the panels were all formed and poured in less than 2 weeks. And then we started setting Tuesday.”

Bolinger says the tilt-up will all be installed by the end of the day.
