SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Local members of both political parties are reminding the Sioux City Community School District that February 3rd, 2020 is an important day.
Jeremy Dumkrieger of the Woodbury County Democrats and Suzan Stewart from the Woodbury County Republicans addressed the Sioux City Community School Board.
They asked school board members to spread the word across the district: Avoid scheduling any additional events at the public schools on the night of the caucuses.
“We’re just asking the school to pass the information to all the schools, the administration, and across the county to just limit the activities for that night in particular. If you absolutely have to have it we understand. Y’know you’re free to do whatever you want. But we are trying to encourage everyone to participate in the caucus.” said Jeremy Dumkrieger, Woodbury County Democrats.
Since many caucuses will be held inside local schools, the political parties are working ahead of time to avoid scheduling conflicts.
