SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – The United Way of Siouxland raised nearly $3.5 million for its’s annual campaign.
On Monday officials announced the organization raised $3,460,000, $20,000 more than last year.
Last year the United Way of Siouxland worked with 74 local programs and provided more than 42,000 services in a 20-mile radius, focusing on areas like health, education and financial stability.
“The long-term changes made in the lives of people across Siouxland are the true measure of our success,” said Heather Hennings, United Way of Siouxland President. “We are so grateful to everyone who supported this year’s campaign. The impact these dollars will have is being felt every day. Together, we’re seeing positive changes; more children are ready for kindergarten and have the skills both socially and academically to succeed in life and more people across our community are gaining health and financial stability.”
