NORFOLK, Nebraska (KTIV) – The Madison County Sheriff’s office has identified the man who was swept away by rising floodwaters Thursday.
Sheriff Todd Volk says that on March 14th 30-year-old Scott Goodman of Norfolk, Nebraska was swept off the road when he attempted to drive over rapidly rising floodwaters on North 1st st.
Norfolk Fire-Rescue responded to the scene shortly after 4:00 A.M.
The Sheriff’s Office says that a sudden search of floodwater swept Goodman downstream, away from his vehicle and first responders.
Due to unsafe conditions, rescue crews were forced to abandon their search.
They say as of Friday, Scott Goodman has still not been located.
