NORFOLK, Nebraska (KTIV) – Two men were arrested Thursday night in Norfolk for outstanding warrants in Madison and Stanton County, after one of the men attempted to flee police.

Martrail Edwards had four active warrants in Madison County and one in Stanton County when he was spotted at a drive-thru of a local restaurant Thursday night.

While Edwards was being arrested, another person in the car, 23-year-old Jordan Roepke, of Norfolk, fled on foot.

Roepke also had an active Madison County warrant for his arrest.

After a brief struggle, Roepke was handcuffed and searched.

Officers found a white substance that tested positive for cocaine, $1,900 in cash, and in a fanny pack, they found a significant amount of marijuana packaged for sale along with a scale.

Roepke was arrested for possession of a controlled substance (cocaine), possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, obstructing a police officer, and resisting arrest.

Roepke was housed in the Norfolk City Jail and later transferred to the Madison County Jail.
