Two people taken to hospital following ammonia leak at Hiland Dairy

NORFOLK, Nebraska (KTIV) – Two people were rushed to a Siouxland hospital after an ammonia leak at a Norfolk, Nebraska business, this morning.

That accidental ammonia leak happened at Hiland Dairy, in Norfolk, at 11:30am.

LifeNet transported one person from the plant to Faith Regional Health Services. Another patient was taken by ambulance.

Investigators have not released the victims’ names, or current condition.

There’s no word on the cause of the ammonia leak.

The Madison County Sheriff is investigating.
