SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Pleasant weather returned to Siouxland today as Sioux City reached the 70-degree mark for the first time in the past week.
Some clouds were moving in late in the day and we will see a chance of a few showers, especially early tonight.
Tuesday is looking dry with highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s across the region.
A bigger storm system will then be moving into the Midwest which will increase our rain and thunderstorm chances Tuesday night and through the day on Wednesday.
We could even see a couple of stronger thunderstorms in eastern Siouxland Wednesday afternoon.
The front that moves through on Wednesday will mean falling temperatures during the afternoon and there still could be a slight chance of a shower Wednesday night.
Highs by Thursday will only get into the mid 50s and winds could be gusting over 30 miles per hour with a slight chance of a rain shower.
Friday will turn brighter and temperatures will start to warm back up with highs in the low 60s.
More warming will follow on Saturday with highs in the low 70s with lots of sunshine.
Some clouds will start to return on Easter Sunday but it looks to stay mild with highs in the upper 60s.
A few showers could return Sunday night into Monday with highs on Monday in the low 60s.
