The weekend closed with some wonderful weather with a lot of sunshine and warming temperatures.
That warming trend continues today with highs pushing into the upper 60s.
We will see clouds increasing through the day and by the evening hours, we could be dealing with some isolated showers and thunderstorms.
We will be mostly cloudy but dry on Tuesday with highs again near 70 degrees.
By the nighttime hours, though, rain chances are back and look more widespread.
Showers and thunderstorms will remain likely into Wednesday with some strong storms possible in the afternoon hours in our eastern cities.
Showers are likely to linger Wednesday night into Thursday with totals staying at an inch or less for most of the area.
We briefly cool highs during this stretch before warming back up again as we head toward the weekend.
