SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Nebraska (KTIV) – The Dakota County Board of Equalization approved a partial vote on the future of the valuation referee protest process.
Dakota County Assessor Jeff Curry says the board approved to hire Innovative Appraisal out of Sioux City to act as the valuation referees for residential and agriculture protests.
But Curry says the board did not decide on who to hire for commercial protests.
Curry says there are a few options for the board, including the board acting as the referees for commercial protests.
He says the board will vote on the commercial protests in two weeks.
