SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) – One of the latest Democrats to enter the crowded race for President, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, took the campaign trail into Sioux City.

De Blasio addressed dozens during a public question and answer session.
The discussion included topics such as the trade war with China, his support of the Green New Deal, investing in preschool education, and the need for proper Mental Health Care.
De Blasio talked about the important role Iowa plays in helping narrow down the field of candidates.

“Iowan’s are tough. They interview the candidates for the whole nation. They decide who gets to go onto the next round. I think Iowans believe in deeds, not just words. I think when you not only have good ideas to support working people but you put them into action, that’s different from the rest of the field.” said Bill de Blasio, New York City Mayor / Presidential Candidate

De Blasio is one of 23 Democrats who have said they’re running for President.
