NIOBRARA, Nebraska (KTIV) – Several businesses in Niobrara, Nebraska were wiped out following March flooding in the state. But one business has managed to rebuild in just a few months.

The Country Cafe, 89141 NE-14, is set to reopen this 2 p.m. Friday.

The cafe was destroyed by flood waters and large chunks of ice in March after the flooding.

Owner Laura Sucha says it’s taken a lot of help from volunteers to get the cafe to this point.

“Thank goodness we had volunteers that started the rebuild but the clean-up was unbelievable because we not only had to get the ice out of here, we had to get the destroyed equipment out and it just took a lot of time because those ice chunks were humongous,” said Sucha.

Sucha says only one wall was standing after the floods.

All of the equipment had to be replaced as well.
