(KTIV) – The U.S. Coast Guard her reopened sections of the Missouri River to commercial and recreational boating.

The area that has reopened to traffic is from just north of Sioux City to Napoleon, Missouri, which is just east of Kansas City.

But, there is a strict “no wake” zone around South Sioux City, Nebraska.

The Coast Guard is also advising boaters to use extreme caution while operating in these areas because the Missouri River remains at moderate to major flood level, and there may be debris in the river that can’t be seen from the surface.
