SIOUX CITY (KTIV) — The Sioux City Explorers lose to Milwaukee 7-3 Wednesday night. Milwaukee has taken the first two games of the three game series. It’s the third loss in a row for the Explorers.
Adam Walker got things going in the first inning for the Milkmen. A single to left field scored two runs to give Milwaukee a 2-0 lead.
Sioux City gets a run back in the second when Sebastian Zawada hits a sacrifice fly to center field scoring Adam Sasser. That cuts the Milkmen lead to one.
Milwaukee would be in control the rest of the way. They add one run in the fourth and two in the fifth to take a 5-1 lead.
Sioux City would get back on the board in the seventh when Zawada hammers a two run home run to make it interesting for a bit. But Milwaukee added two insurance runs in the eighth en route to the victory.
Sioux City will look to avoid a sweep in the series finale Thursday night at 7:12 pm.
