UPDATE: Aubrey Trail found guilty of first degree murder

UPDATE:

WILBER, Nebraska (KTIV) – A jury has found Aubrey Trail guilty of first-degree murder and criminal conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree, in the death of 24-year-old Sydney Loofe.

This is according to TV station KSNB. 

Both sides rested their case this morning. Jury deliberations began around 3:53 p.m., with a verdict reached at 6:33 p.m.

Bailey Boswell, Trail’s girlfriend, is also charged with first-degree murder and improper disposal of human skeletal remains in Loofe’s death.

Loofe’s remains were found in ditches along a state highway, weeks after her November 2017 disappearance.

Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for Trail and Boswell.
