Hearing continued for suspect in Fordyce, NE knife attack

HARTINGTON, Neb. (KTIV) – A Fordyce, Nebraska, man, who’s facing attempted murder charges following a knife attack, last week, continues to recover after an accident involving officers that were pursuing him.

44-year-old Kevin Robert Haug was set to appear in Cedar County Court, Monday, on a probation violation charge. But, his attorney requested a continuance as Haug continues to recover from the injuries suffered in the accident back on July 2nd. The judge granted the request, and moved Haug’s hearing to August 16th at 9:00am.

Cedar County, Nebraska’s attorney accuses Haug of attacking another person with a knife leaving the victim in critical condition.

He was found after police say he rammed an officer’s squad car with a stolen U-Haul during a traffic stop.
