BLOOMFIELD, Nebraska (KTIV) – Nebraska Gov. Pete Ricketts made a pair of stops in Siouxland on Thursday to tour two of Nebraska’s major employers.
Ricketts made a stop at Michael Foods near Bloomfield.
For the third straight year, the state won the Governor’s Cup for having the most economic development projects per capita in the nation.
Ricketts says its companies like Michael Foods that continues to invest in the state, helping to keep the Nebraska economy strong for families, and farmers.
“It’s great for our farmers because they are going to use with this investment up to a million bushels of corn every year on top of what they are already using, so this will be great for our local farmers and their basis. This is a great deal for Northeast Nebraska and we just came here to say thank you,” said Gov. Pete Ricketts, (R) Nebraska.
Ricketts presented Michael Foods with a signed copy of the Site Selection magazine as a thank you for their continued commitment and part in winning the national accolades.
He also took a tour of the Michael Foods Farm.
