Thursday was a beautiful mid-July day with lowered humidity and a whole lot of sunshine.
We keep the sunshine today but the mugginess will be back.
With temperatures topping out near 90 degrees and dew points returning to the low 70s, it will feel like the mid to upper 90s during the afternoon hours.
Winds will be fairly calm as well at 5 to 15 mph.
As we head into the overnight hours we will be looking at scattered thunderstorms possible, mostly after midnight.
The strongest storms could have large hail and gusty winds.
A few showers may linger into the morning hours Saturday before we see some partial clearing.
It will still be humid but temperatures look to end up a few degrees cooler than Friday as a result of some of that cloud cover.
From Sunday on, highs will stay in the low 90s with the heat index near or above 100 degrees.
The extended nature of this heat and humidity could become dangerous if precautions are not taken.
Be careful not to overexert yourself as the heat continues into the foreseeable future.
