SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – The heat and humidity started to return to Siouxland today and that even led to a few isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon hours, a couple of which became severe.
There will be more chances of storms Friday night into Saturday morning and there is a marginal risk of severe storms during the night Friday night.
Once the Saturday morning storms move to the east, we’ll be left with a warm and humid afternoon with highs in the upper 80s.
Sunday is looking to be a touch warmer as highs will likely hit 90 for many of us.
Next week’s forecast is simply hot with highs in the low to mid 90s expected each and everyday and yes, it will be humid as well.
The best chances of storms next week look to occur Monday night and again Tuesday night.
Stay cool and hydrated as we head into a prolonged bout of hot weather!
