Democratic presidential candidates set for Sioux City forum on Friday

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Four of the 24 Democrats running for president will be in Sioux City, on Friday for a forum organized by the AARP.

Organizers say Sen. Elizabeth Warren, former Congressman Beto O’Rourke, author Marianne Williamson, and tech executive Andrew Yang will address issues important to seniors like prescription drug prices, and financial security.

The event inside the Sioux City Convention Center runs from 2 – 4 p.m., on Friday, July 19.

The candidates will have an opportunity to take questions from the audience.

Tickets are free but limited to members of AARP.

Warren will be hosting a town hall meeting, in Sioux City, on Thursday afternoon.

The Massachusetts Democrat will speak at the event on the Morningside College campus, inside the Olsen Student Center, at 5:45 p.m.

Doors for the free public event open at 4:45 p.m.

On Friday, O’Rourke will meet with voters at The Diving Elk, on Historic 4th Street.

“Beers With Beto” will start at 5:15 p.m. Friday at 1101 4th Street.
