10-year-old twins hold a lemonade stand for SIDS

LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) – On Tuesday afternoon, 10-year-old twins from Le Mars, Iowa, hosted a lemonade stand to help raise money for the Iowa Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Foundation.

Megan and Jacob Jeneary say the cause is important for them because their uncle passed away from SIDS before they were born.

The kids mixed up fresh lemonade and made bracelets to sell, too.

They also sold their old books.

This year, all visitors to the stand got a free raffle ticket to use at the upcoming 20th annual “Walk for the Future” in Le Mars.

“Our uncle died of SIDS and we just wanted to help out our grandma find something to do so we decided to do a lemonade stand and raise money to help fight SIDS,” said Jacob Jeneary.

The kids say the most they have raised was a little over $300.
