(NBC News) – You may want to check your pantries for some cookies that are under recall in 36 states.
Bimbo Bakeries is recalling Entenmann’s Little Bites Soft Baked Cookies, specifically the 5-pack mini chocolate chip variety.
The issue involves the potential presence of visible, blue plastic pieces inside the individual packaging pouch.
The plastic is not baked into the product, however, consumption of the plastic pieces could result in a choking hazard.
The product as Best Buy dates of Aug. 31 and Sept. 7, 2019.
The cookies were distributed in: Alabama, Arkansas, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.
So far, there are no reports of injury and no other Entenmann’s brand products are affected.
Consumers can return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
