**A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect for most of Siouxland until 1 AM**
SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Central portions of Siouxland began their morning with some showers and thunderstorms.
By the late morning, everyone was warming up and seeing a mix of sun and clouds.
The weather stayed mild until the mid-afternoon, when thunderstorms developed over the southeastern regions of Siouxland.
The high reached the low 80s.
Tonight some strong thunderstorms are expected to move into Siouxland.
The northern parts are looking to be the main region where the storms reside, but all of Siouxland has a risk of seeing a severe thunderstorm.
The storms should be arriving around 10 PM, if you are out on the town or outside, make sure you are checking in on the radar and the latest updates.
These storms are expected to bring large hail, possibly up to golf ball size, and strong damaging winds.
The storms will stick with us into the early morning hours.
The system should be past our region by 5 in the morning.
The low will be in the mid 60s. Sunday returns the mild summer weather.
The skies will be mostly cloudy throughout the day, but begin to decrease by the evening.
The high will be near 80. Monday gives us more sunshine, with a high in the mid 80s.
Tuesday will be partly cloudy. Tuesday’s high will be in the upper 80s.
Tuesday night, thunderstorms may return. Wednesday cools down a bit, with a high in the upper 70s.
That cooler weather sticks around for Thursday as well.
Both days will be partly cloudy.
Friday and Saturday will have a high in the mid 80s, and partly cloudy skies.
