The work week started once again with patchy fog in the area, some of which became quite dense.
This has cleared up and the rest of our daytime hours will be quiet.
Highs will be in the mid 80s with humidity increasing as we head through the day.
By the nighttime hours we may be dealing with some thunderstorms, especially after midnight.
The highest chances will be in northwest Iowa.
Any storms that do develop will carry a main threat of large hail and strong winds.
There is also a non-zero chance of a quick spin-up tornado overnight.
We clear out for the daytime hours on Tuesday with a hot and humid afternoon.
Temperatures top out near 90 degrees with the heat index topping out near 100.
Another chance for storms will be with us Tuesday night with the highest chances in southern Siouxland.
This comes as a front moves its way through the area.
As that moves south we may still have a few remaining showers Wednesday morning with drier weather through the middle and end of the week.
Highs will be cooler during that time period.
