(KTIV) – The Knights of Columbus’s 39th annual phonathon is just one day away.
On Wednesday, September 4, the Le Mars Knights of Columbus will gather together to make phone calls throughout Plymouth County for pledges.
This year’s goal is $56,000.00, and over the last 39 years the Phonathon has raised $1.5 million.
Organizers of the Phonathon say 90% of the donations will stay in Plymouth County with the Life Skills Training Center.
“Life Skills works with mentally disabled adults here in Le Mars and it’s a very important organization and they’ve been around for almost 30 years. And are kind of the only game in town,” said Shelly Thomson, the Marketing Development Coordinator for the Life Skills Training Center.
Those who want to donate do not have to wait for the Phonathon to start. Those who wish to pledge ahead of time can call (712)-546-5862, you’ll be connected to the Le Mars Chamber office.
