Suspect arrested in armed robbery at Sarg’s Mini-Mart on Indian Hills

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – UPDATE:

Sioux City Police have located the weapon involved in an armed robbery on the city’s north side, Wednesday.

Investigators say 20-year-old Noah Angel Pineda walked into Sarg’s Mini-Mart, on Indian Hills Drive, shortly after six o’clock, armed with a rifle.

He got away, but was quickly arrested and was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries due to the K9 apprehension.

Police say he discarded the rifle he allegedly used to rob the convenience store, but it was later found.

The money that was taken from the store was also recovered.

The matter is under further investigation as to any connection this robbery might have to others that have occurred.

At last check, Sioux City Police was still searching the neighborhood for the missing rifle.
