SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – Michael O’Connor makes an official announcement, he will run in the upcoming Sioux City City Council race.
He let the community know Friday morning at War Eagle Park in Sioux City.
O’Connor says as a City Council member, his main focus would be on the increase of crime, and homelessness in Sioux City.
He said as someone who came from poverty, he views the community with a different perspective, and only hopes to make Sioux City grow.
“When you have lived life through the lense of those types of hunger you are able to recognize in the eyes of others it is for them that i stand here ready to serve. We all deserve a fair chance and it is our responsibility to do what we can to be of support,” Michael O’Connor, City Council Candidate.
Four other candidates are on the ballot for the election.
