(NBC News) – For the first time in decades vinyl record sales are outpacing sales of CD’s, according to the recording industry association of America.
Since 2010 vinyl record sales have surged.
Their price has also skyrocketed, back in 2007 new vinyl averaged $4.80.
Ten years later, the average has shot up to $28.40 per disc, a 490-percent increase.
Meanwhile, CD sales have fallen below one billion dollars for the first time since 1986.
