SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – We’ve been hanging onto these last few days of summer as much as we can, and today was no exception.
It was another nice day, with partly cloudy skies, a high in the mid 80s.
The wind did increase a bit, with sustained winds around 15 to 20 mph, and wind gusts reaching up to 30 mph.
Tonight those winds calm down, and the clouds increase overhead.
There is a small chance of getting a shower or thunderstorm, but it would be very late, in those very early morning hours.
The low will be in the upper 60s.
Tomorrow the shower and thunderstorm chances continue through the morning hours.
The sky will gradually lose clouds in the afternoon.
The high will be in the mid 80s, and the winds are expected to be gusty again.
Saturday night the low cools down a bit, lowering to the mid 50s.
Most of Siouxland has a chance of getting a severe thunderstorm on Saturday, so keep checking in on the forecast.
Sunday will continue to be on the cooler side.
The high will be near 70 degrees, with a partly cloudy sky.
Monday is the official start of fall, but we continue to stay warmer.
Monday’s high will be in the upper 70s, with plenty of sunshine overhead.
Tuesday will be similar to Monday, but the sky builds in a few more clouds.
Wednesday will be in the upper 70s, with a partly cloudy sky.
Thursday’s high cools down a little, reaching the low 70s.
The sky will be partly cloudy. Thursday night has a chance of thunderstorms.
Friday will be similar to Thursday.
