Norfolk Public School District receives high scores from Nebraska Department of Education

NORFOLK, Nebraska (KTIV) – The Norfolk Public School District is gaining some favorable reviews from the Nebraska Department of Education.

The department created an accountability and support system called ‘Accountability for a Quality Education System, Today and Tomorrow’, or AQuESTT.

The system serves as a comprehensive tool to classify schools and identify schools needing support to help provide educational equity for students.

Based on six major points in the system, school systems are put into four categories: Excellent, Great, Good, and Needs Improvement. The Norfolk Public Schools System has been classified as ‘Good’, with six schools in the district classified as ‘Excellent’ and six as ‘Great’.

Norfolk High School had a 92 percent graduation rate for 2019, according to the school district.
