FEMA to evaluate flood damage for homes in Yankton, South Dakota

The Yankton County Office of Emergency Management says FEMA will be in Yankton County to tour homes and personal property damaged by recent flooding.

The FEMA evaluation team will be looking specifically at homes damaged by the James River flooding that happened between September 9th through 26th.

They will visit the area on October 21 through 22nd to conduct evaluations.

If you were affected by the flooding and registered by calling 211 and are not chosen for this evaluation, Yankton County leaders say the visit is to gather information on preliminary damage amounts.
