Around Siouxland: The Sioux City Symphony presents ‘Rite of Spring”

SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – The Sioux City Symphony has another terrific piece coming in November.

On November 9, the symphony is playing “Rite of Spring,” a musical performance that actually caused a riot in Paris at its first performance. The piece will feature the symphony’s principal flute, Brian Allred, in a performance of L’aile Du Songe, a bird-inspired work for solo flute and orchestra.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. with tickets available through the Sioux City Symphony’s website.
