Blustery with fairly steady, colder temperatures

Almost half an inch of rain fell on Signal Hill overnight and into the morning hours but we were able to avoid frozen precipitation with this system.

Winds have been gusting to 40 mph during the morning and will stay strong with gusts up to 30 mph for the afternoon.

Temperatures will be pretty steady in the mid 30s through the day, much colder than the low 60s some of us saw yesterday.

Skies will clear through the night with winds dying down.

Lows will fall into the upper teens but we recover to around 40 degrees Friday with mostly sunny skies.

We stay dry through the weekend with just a few more clouds by Sunday and highs topping out near 50 degrees.

Our next system pushes in Monday night into Tuesday with a chance for a rain/snow mix for that time frame.

We will continue to keep an eye on this time frame with holiday travel at its peak for those days.
