SIOUX CITY (KTIV) -- The LAMB Arts Theater in Sioux City announced their move to a new location, last August.
The new location, the old Sioux City Auditorium on Douglas Street, will be the new home to LAMB Arts Theatre.
The building is currently being renovated.
LAMB directors Dianna and Russell Wooley say, right now, contractors are working on the removal of asbestos.
They say being able to bring the first auditorium in Sioux City back to life is an honor.
"It has a wonderful history, but to return it to that center of entertainment is just right, and particularly with the renaissance our downtown is having right now, the excitement is palpable," said Russell Wooley.
The theatre will have two theatre rooms and feature an open atrium and bar.
Construction is expected to be completed in 2022.
