SIOUX CITY (KTIV) - The Second Annual Nativity festival was hosted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sunday.
The festival featured many different nativity scenes on loan to the church. There were over 150 nativities from around the world.
Nancy Dean, director of the festival, says she's thankful to be able to bring a festival like this to Siouxland.
"I grew up in California and when I was growing up and also when I had my children when they were young, we would go to a nativity festival every Christmas," said Dean. "When my family moved here there wasn't one. And I kept kind of waiting for somebody to put one on and there wasn't one. So, two years ago I just thought, I'm going to do it myself."
Dean adds preparation for the festival begins months in advance, reaching out to community members to find nativities to be loaned.
