Cold with blustery winds and patchy blowing snow

A cold front rolled through Siouxland this morning, bringing with it a band of snow.

Accumulations ended up pretty light with most places ending up near an inch but the snow will came down fairly quickly.

This combined with wind gusts up to 50 mph to create greatly reduced visibility at times.

We have gradually been clearing through the morning and will continue to see some sunshine through the afternoon.

We will stay breezy and cold for the rest of the day with highs only in the upper teens.

Winds will die down shortly after sunset and an increase in cloud cover will keep us from falling off too dramatically tonight.

However, we will still see wind chills dip below zero to start our Tuesday.

We look pretty quiet for the next couple of days with highs in the mid teens to near 20 Tuesday and Wednesday.

A quick round of flurries may work through late Wednesday night into Thursday morning.

Temperatures moderate as we close out the week near 40 on Friday.
