(KTIV) -- The Food Bank of Siouxland will soon be hosting one of their biggest fundraisers.

"Empty Bowls" is the signature fundraiser event for the Food Bank of Siouxland.

The event is on Feb. 7 at the Sioux City Convention Center.

The fundraiser features a dinner of soup and dessert, all of which are donated.

There'll also be a live and silent auction with live music.

Those who attend will also take home a unique locally made handcrafted bowl made by the studio Pickled Palette.

Organizers say these empty bowls serve as visual reminders of people who struggle with hunger and often have an empty bowl themselves.

The goal for this year's fundraiser is to give away 250 bowls at the event.
